Adult Day Program

Adult Day Program

Enriching each life we touch

The Adult Day Program at Huggins Hospital is a caring team of registered nurses, licensed nursing assistants and volunteers. Our mission is to enrich and give value to those persons suffering from dementia, impairment or social isolation.

Our program provides a safe and cheerful environment with social interaction that challenges attendees with exercise, conversation, crafts, games, cooking and reading skills. The social setting of the program can reduce the risk of depression due to isolation and improve mood and behavior. The many physical, mental, and social activities are also known to improve mental and physical health.

Our facility is licensed by the State of NH as a Medical Model of Care. We take a multi-disciplinary approach with a care team that includes nursing, dietary, social work and physical/occupational/speech professionals. Attendees have access to rehabilitation services, hairdressing/barber services and professional nursing care. Nutritious meals and snacks are developed by our hospital dietitians.

Let Huggins be your partner in caring for your loved ones. A break from daily care giving responsibilities is important to your continued health and well-being as a caregiver. Our program allows you to run needed errands, catch up on your sleep, and renew your strength and peace in some quiet time. Our goal is to help you keep your loved ones living at home with you as long as possible.

If you wish to support the Adult Day Program at Huggins, please donate today.

The Adult Day Program is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.
