Cardiology

Safe and comfortable heart testing

In order to assess your heart’s health more accurately, your healthcare provider may decide that some special tests would be helpful. Your provider may refer you to Huggins Hospital’s Cardio-Pulmonary Department. We want you to feel safe and comfortable before, during, and after your test, so, in addition to the explanation your physician will provide, the Cardio-Pulmonary Department staff members are here to answer all your concerns, carefully describing what you can expect at each point in the testing process.

Huggins Cardio-Pulmonary Department provides several types of non-invasive tests, including:

Cardiac Testing:

Pulmonary Testing:

Specially-trained physicians supervise all of these tests and experienced cardiologists will evaluate the imaging generated by these tests.

Prior to your test, if you have any questions about what to eat, what to wear, or what medications you should or shouldn’t take, please call the Cardio-Pulmonary Department at 603.569.7567.

Announcement regarding Cardiology:

Catholic Medical Center (CMC) recently informed Huggins Hospital that they will no longer be able to provide Cardiology Services in Wolfeboro, citing their organization’s financial difficulty as the reason.

Huggins Hospital remains a strong organization and is dedicated to maintaining Cardiology Services for our community.

We are happy to announce that we are working with Dartmouth Health to bring on-site Cardiology Services to Huggins Hospital. We are hopeful this change will allow us stability and growth in Cardiology Services here at Huggins Hospital.

This change may take some time. We will work as quickly as possible to alleviate any gap in service created by CMC’s removal of Cardiology from Huggins Hospital and other hospitals in NH.

Please work with your Primary Care Provider if you need help accessing Cardiology Services. We will post updates here, on our website, as we have more details.
