Unrestricted Fund—Three-Year Campaign Goal: $1,000,000
Donations to Huggins Hospital’s Unrestricted Fund provide funding that can be used where it is needed the most at a given moment.
When you donate to this critical fund you are supporting:
- Charity Care Program—This program provides healthcare to all regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Huggins provides on average close to $1 million in charity care annually.
- Paramedic Intercept Service—Huggins employs paramedics who can respond to the scene of an accident, cardiac event or other emergency to help local EMS providers stabilize patients before or during transport to a hospital at no cost to the patient or the EMS company.
- Primary Care Services—Many are surprised to learn that Huggins’ primary care practices operate at a loss. As a rural healthcare organization, Huggins Hospital believes that making primary care services available is a key responsibility to our communities.
- Outpatient Social Services—Our Outpatient Social Services Coordinator helps Huggins’ patients with any social services they may need, from home heating assistance to locating housing. We believe that these basic needs are the foundation to good health.
